APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's tennis team played a number of tight sets but couldn't get over the hump in a 7-0 Midwest Conference loss to Lake Forest College at Fox Cities Racquet Club.Â
It was the league opener for both squads.
The tightest match of the day came at No. 1 singles where Lawrence's
Andrew Larson put up another great battle with Felipe Moraes. Moraes pulled out the opening set 6-4, and the second set went to a tiebreaker, which Moraes won 7-0 to clinch the victory.
  Both
Will Phillips at No. 5 and
David Rothman at No. 6 both went to 5-5 in the first set before Lake Forest took those sets 7-5.Â
The top doubles performance came from Larson and
