APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University track and field teams claimed 13 first-place finishes Friday at the Fox River Showdown against Ripon College at Whiting Field.
  Irene Yank ran to victory in the women's 100 meters in 13.44 seconds, and Itzel Vega Juarez grabbed first in the 200 meters in 30.04 seconds.
  Cristyn Oliver led a 1-2-3 finish the Vikings in the women's 800 as she ran to victory in 2:20.63. Riley Winebrenner was a winner in the women's 3,000 steeplechase in 11:45.17.Â
  Gaby Skorczewski led a 1-2 finish for the Vikings in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:10.07. Skorczewski also anchored the 4x400 relay team that won in 4:13.61. Joining Skorczewski on the relay were Mila Westra, Faith Onukaogu and Clara Lyford.
  On the men's side,
Ryan Cassiday led a 1-2 finish in the 1,500 as he won in 4:01.14.
Thomas Popoca grabbed first in the 5,000 with a time of 16:45.24.
Marcus Jackson ran to first in the 400 in 54.33 seconds.

Ray Wetzel-Meehan splashed his way to victory in the 3,000 steeplechase in 9:56.06.
Leo Hagberg grabbed a win in the triple jump with a leap of 43 feet, 3.75 inches.
  Lawrence swept the two relay events. The 4x100 team of Hagberg,
Brendan Cross,
Nick Lubin and
Tristan Zook won in 44.89 seconds, and the 4x400 relay team of Zook,
Alex Luckett, Cross and
Zach Meyer won in 3:27.94.
