APPLETON, Wis. -- Six Lawrence University women's student-athletes have been chosen for the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District at-large team.
  The at-large team encompasses sports not covered by individual teams. In Lawrence's case, ice hockey and fencing are represented on the women's at-large team. To be eligible for the team, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore, have a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade point average and meet the playing requirements.
  Four members of the women's hockey team earned a spot on the team.

Lauren Askenazy (Albuquerque, N.M.), a senior forward, earned a spot on the academic all-district team for the second consecutive season. Askenazy is a biochemistry and biology major with a 3.88 grade point average. Fellow senior
Lauren Moravchik (Lonsdale, Minn.) made the team for the first time. A defender, Moravchik is a triple major in business and entrepreneurship, economics and German with a 3.75 grade point average.
  Senior forward
Sofia Alvarez (Miami, Fla.) made the team for the second consecutive year. Alvarez is a double major in biochemistry and psychology with a 3.66 grade point average. Sophomore defender
Evelyn Pryadkin (Douglassville, Pa.) made the team for the first time. Pryadkin is a computer science major with a 3.68 grade point average.
  Two women's fencers also made the team.
  Junior foil fencer
Sophia Kelley (Circle Pines, Minn.) made the team for the second consecutive season. Kelley is a junior double major in Chinese language and literature and psychology with a 3.65 grade point average. Sophomore saber fencer
Jayna Davis (Reno, Nev.) made the team for the first time. Davis is a biology major with a 3.55 grade point average.
  The College Sports Communicators choose academic all-district and academic All-America teams in 14 sports with the additional two at-large teams.
