APPLETON, Wis. -- Five Lawrence University student-athletes have been chosen for the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team for cross country and track and field.
  On the women's side,
Irene Yank,
Cristyn Oliver and
Edythmae Frodl were selected, and
Tristan Zook and
Ryan Cassiday were the men's honorees.
  Yank (Franklin, Wis./Franklin) is a senior with a 4.0 grade point average. She is an economics major with minors in mathematics and statistics and data science. Yank, who competes in hurdles, jumps and relays for the Vikings, is a multiple All-Midwest Conference honoree in both indoor and outdoor track. She also earned the Midwest Conference's Elite 20 award as the student-athlete with the top grade point average at the conference indoor championships in 2025.Â
  Oliver (Redondo Beach, Calif./Bishop Montgomery) is a senior majoring in psychology. One of the most decorated Lawrence cross country and track athletes in recent history, Oliver has a 3.64 grade point average. Oliver is a three-time individual Midwest Conference cross country champion and led the Vikings to a pair of team championships. A six-time Midwest Conference track champion, Oliver also holds school records in the 3,000 meters indoors and in the 1,500 and 5,000 outdoors.
  Frodl (Fort Collins, Colo./Loveland Classical School) is a senior with a double major in studio art and geosciences. Frodl, who holds a 3.72 grade point average, is a four-time All-Midwest Conference honoree in cross country and helped the Vikings to a pair of team titles during her career.Â
  Zook (Hermantown, Minn./Denfeld) is a junior with a double major in computer science and mathematics. Zook, who has a 4.0 grade point average, is a two-time winner of the Midwest Conference's Elite 20 award. A jumper and sprinter for the Vikings, Zook also is an All-Midwest Conference honoree. Â
  Cassiday (Fitchburg, Wis./Verona) is a sophomore majoring in chemistry with a 3.53 grade point average. Cassiday has earned All-Midwest Conference honors in cross country in each of his first two seasons and also picked up all-conference honors indoors in the distance medley relay.
