Mattigan Haller and
Janessa Gonzalez have been chosen for the All-Midwest Conference team in a vote of league coaches.
  Haller (Eau Claire, Wis./North) was chosen for the second consecutive year, and Gonzalez (Elk Grove Village, Ill./James B. Conant) was chosen in her first year with the Vikings. Both Haller and Gonzalez were second-team selections.
  Haller, a sophomore who split time between catcher and the outfield, was chosen as the second-team utility player for the second consecutive season. Batting at the top of the Lawrence lineup, Haller hit .308 in Midwest Conference play with a triple, four runs batted in and a team-high 13 runs scored. She also swiped seven bases.
  On the season, Haller hit .316 with four doubles, a team-best six triples, 10 RBIs and a team-high 25 runs scored. She also swiped a team-best 12 bases.
  Gonzalez, a first-year who played second base and saw some time in the outfield, was picked at second base. Gonzalez hit a team-best .396 in Midwest Conference play. She picked up two doubles, a triple, eight RBIs, 11 runs scored and four stolen bases.Â
  Gonzalez was second on the team this season with a .355 batting average and finished with four doubles, a triple, 16 RBIs, 21 runs scored and six stolen bases.  Â
  This marks the 25th consecutive season (no teams were chosen in 2020 due to the pandemic) Lawrence has had at least one player chosen for the all-conference team.
