APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University track teams have again been honored by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for their work in the classroom.
  Both the women's and men's squads have received the All-Academic Team designation. To be eligible for the award, a team must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.1 for the current academic year.
  The Lawrence women posted an impressive 3.53 team grade point average, and the Lawrence men posted a 3.33 grade point average.
  The marks the seventh consecutive time the Lawrence women have earned the honor, and it is the sixth straight time the men have picked up the award.
  The 2023 season was a successful campaign for the Vikings as they broke multiple school records and captured a pair of individual Midwest Conference titles.
Cristyn Oliver won the league title indoors in the 5,000 meters, and
Ian Thomas was the conference champion outdoors in the javelin.
