ROCK ISLAND, Ill. -- That record didn't last long.
Lawrence University women's cross country standout
Cristyn Oliver smashed the school record she set seven days ago by running to 11th place at the Augustana Interregional Invitational at Saukie Golf Course.Â
Running against an elite field, Oliver finished the 6,000 meters in 21:38.6 to finish 11th. That shatters the school record of 21:52.6 that Oliver established while winning the Gene Davis Invitational on Oct. 12.Â
Led by Oliver, Lawrence finished 14th in the team standings with 428 points. Colorado College won the team title with 56 points, and six nationally-ranked teams finished in the top eight. Lawrence was the top Midwest Conference team in the meet and finished 110 points ahead of Grinnell College, which was its nearest league rival.
  Rookie
Mila Westra was next for the Vikings as she finished 52nd in 22:36.9.
Edythmae Frodl came in 87th in 23:03.5, and teammate
