OSHKOSH, Wis. -- The Lawrence University track and field teams claimed multiple victories Saturday at the Deb Vercauteren Alumni and Friends Invitational at Kolf Sports Center.
  Ryan Cassiday led the Lawrence men by pacing the Vikings in a sweep of the top three places in the 3,000 meters. Cassiday finished first in 9:02.48, and teammate Nick Hansen was right on his heels as he crossed the line in 9:04.09. Sam Brewer completed the sweep of the top three spots with a time of 9:25.54.
  First-year runner
Mila Westra took the top spot in the women's mile with a winning time of 5:21.48. Westra won by nearly six seconds over Jamie Catania of UW-Oshkosh, and Lawrence's
Riley Winebrenner grabbed third place in 5:29.32.
  The Lawrence women swept the top two spots in the triple jump.
Irene Yank posted a winning jump of 32 feet, 4.25 inches, and
Anna Vanden Acker was second with a leap of 31-10.25.Â
  The Lawrence women won the 4x400 relay with a time of 4:28.48 with the team of
Faith Onukaogu, Winebrenner,
Laura Henze and Westra. The men's 4x400 team of Alex Luckett, Ryan Draginis, Zach Meyer and Elek Anderson took the top spot with a time of 3:44.53.Â
  Lawrence also claimed two of the top three spots in the women's high jump.
Ashlee Long grabbed second place with a height of 4-7.5, and
Natalee Kragie was third with a height of 4-5.5. The other top-three finish for the Vikings was
Ella Fajardo-Wilde, who took third in the women's 400 meters in 1:03.50.
