APPLETON, Wis. -- Lawrence University volleyball standout
Ally Corrente was chosen as the Midwest Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.
  Corrente (Neenah, Wis./Neenah), a first-year setter, piled up 160 assists over the course of five matches during the week. Corrente had a high of 44 assists during a five-set win over Ripon College and picked up 39 in a four-set match against UW-Stevens Point.
  Corrente also added 18 kills, four aces and 29 digs over the five matches.
  Corrente now has 955 assists for the season and has an average of 9.85 assists per set. Corrente is looking to be just the fifth player in school history to pass 1,000 assists in a season.
  Corrente also was chosen as Offensive Player of the Week on September 16. The Vikings have earned Offensive Player of the Week five times this season and have picked up two Defensive Player of the Week awards.
  Lawrence (16-10) returns to action on Friday when the Vikings travel to Knox College.
