-We are pleased to announce the appointment of Stella Macfarlane as the new Assistant Swimming and Diving Coach for our team. Stella joins us with a rich history of involvement and achievement within our program and is poised to bring her extensive experience and dedication to her new role.

Stella Macfarlane is no stranger to our community, having previously graduated from Lawrence in  2025 and served as a Volunteer Swimming and Diving Coach at Lawrence University. During her tenure as a student-athlete, Stella served as a two-time captain of the Lawrence Swim and Dive Team, where she played a pivotal role in fostering team unity and facilitating effective communication between athletes and the administration. Her leadership skills were recognized through numerous accolades, including the Viking Award and the Chris Knorr Leadership Award.

Stella's academic achievements are equally impressive. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the most prestigious academic honor society, and has consistently been on the Dean's List from 2022 to 2025. Her academic excellence also earned her the Elite Viking Award for achieving the highest GPA on the Women's Swim and Dive Team.

Stella's transition from a student-athlete to a coaching role is warmly welcomed by Head Swimming and Diving Coach, Kayla Wiltzius, who remarked, "I am so excited to have Stella Macfarlane as our assistant coach. Her knowledge of Lawrence Swimming and Diving is a great asset to the team! She has done a great job jumping in and inspiring the athletes!"

Stella herself expressed enthusiasm for her new position, stating, "Having been a part of this team, I am excited to support my former teammates and new athletes as a full-time assistant coach. They are all very enthusiastic and determined, so I'm excited to see what they can do this season!"

We are thrilled to have Stella Macfarlane back with us in this new capacity and look forward to her contributions to our swimming and diving program.
