APPLETON, Wis. -- Two Lawrence University women's basketball players have been chosen for the All-Midwest Conference team in a vote of league coaches.
  Lawrence's
Mallory Meyer and
Charlotte Brennan were both chosen for the second team.
  Meyer (Battle Ground, Wash./Battle Ground), a senior forward, earned all-conference honors for the first time. In league play, Meyer averaged 10.1 points per game while shooting 42.8 percent from the floor. She also averaged 4.3 rebounds per game while collecting 22 assists and 21 steals.
  Meyer finished with 12 double-digit scoring games in league play and scored a season-high 24 points in a victory over Knox College to match her career high. She pulled down a season-high eight rebounds in a victory over Illinois College.
  On the season, Meyer averaged 9.7 points and 4.0 rebounds per game while shooting 38.6 percent from the floor. Meyer finished her career with 1,002 points to become just the sixth player in Lawrence history to top the 1,000-point plateau.
  Brennan (Firestone, Colo./Mead), a sophomore guard, was honored on the second team for the second consecutive season. Â
  One of the league's top perimeter defenders, Brennan averaged 6.9 points per game while averaging 3.4 assists, 1.9 rebounds and 1.6 steals in conference play. Brennan scored a season-best 13 points in a conference game in a victory over Cornell College. She picked up a season-high eight assists in a win over Lake Forest College and collected a season-high five steals in a victory over Grinnell College.
  On the season, Brennan averaged 8.7 points per game while shooting 34.0 percent from the floor. She also led the team at 3.2 assists per game and picked up 2.2 rebounds per contest.
  Lawrence finished second in the Midwest Conference standings with an 18-8 record, and the Vikings took second in the league with a 12-4 mark. Lawrence qualified for the Midwest Conference Tournament for the second consecutive season.
