OSHKOSH, Wis. -- The Lawrence University track and field teams faced some tough competition Saturday at the UW-Oshkosh Invitational at Titan Stadium.
  Lawrence posted a number of top finishes while taking on competitors from several NCAA Division II schools and the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
  The women's 4x100-meter relay team of
Morgan Cross,
Anna Vanden Acker, Itzel Vega Juarz and
Irene Yank raced to third place in 55.56 seconds. Yank also grabbed seventh place in the 100 hurdles in 16.81 seconds.
  In the women's 4x400 relay, the team of
Gaby Skorczewski,
Mila Westra,
Faith Onukaogu and
Laura Henze placed fifth in 4:21.36. On the men's side, Lawrence's Alex Luckett, Zach Meyer, Bergen Thorson and Elek Anderson finished sixth in 3:37.23.

Jasmine Moldenhauer grabbed fifth place in the women's 5,000 meters with a time of 20:50.35, and Sam Brewer was sixth in the men's 5,000 in 15:54.87. Onukaogu raced to sixth place in the women's 1,500 in 5:05.85, and teammate
Riley Winebrenner was eighth in 5:10.46.
  Leo Hagberg was the top finisher in the field events as he took third men's triple jump with a distance of 43 feet, 9.75 inches, and he grabbed fifth in the long jump with a leap of 20-7. Will Eggert fired the javelin 169-2 to take fourth place.
  Meyer raced to fifth place in the men's 800 with a time of 1:58.52, and Westra was sixth in the women's 800 in 2:23.23.
  Ray Wetzel-Meehan raced to third in the 3,000 steeplechase in 10:35.04, and teammate Max Reemtsma was fourth in 10:43.00. Tristan Zook posted a seventh-place finish in the men's 400 with a time of 51.13 seconds.
