APPLETON, Wis. -- Five Lawrence University men's student-athletes have been selected for the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District at-large team.
  Three teams are represented with two student-athletes from ice two, two from fencing and one from lacrosse. The at-large team encompasses sports not covered by individual teams. To be eligible for the team, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore, have a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade point average and meet the playing requirements.
  Representing hockey are
Jayden Jensen and
Miles McCue. Jensen (Marengo, Ill.), a junior defenseman, was chosen for the second consecutive season. Jensen is a double major in economics and psychology and has a 3.92 grade point average. McCue (Fort Collins, Colo.), a sophomore forward, was chosen for the first time. A biochemistry major, McCue has a 3.93 grade point average.

Jordan Diacos and
Eli Freyre de Andrade are the representatives from the fencing squad. Diacos (Winnipeg, Manitoba) is a junior who competes in saber and was chosen for the second consecutive year. A history major, Diacos has a 3.52 grade point average. Freyre de Andrade (Denver, Colo.) is a sophomore who also competes in saber. Chosen for the first time, Freyre de Andrade is a business and entrepreneurship major with a 3.76 grade point average.

Iori Yamada (Tokyo, Japan) is a sophomore attackman for the lacrosse team and earned his first academic all-district selection. Undecided on a major, Yamada 3.64 grade point average.Â
  The College Sports Communicators choose academic all-district and academic All-America teams in 14 sports with the additional two at-large teams.
