APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University volleyball team has swept the Midwest Conference Player of the Week awards for the second consecutive week.

Ally Corrente was chosen as Offensive Player of the Week, and
Audrey Weier was named Defensive Player of the Week. Corrente and Weier helped Lawrence to a 4-2 record on the week, including road victories against Wheaton College and Central College.
  Corrente (Neenah, Wis./Neenah), a first-year setter, piled up 208 assists in the six matches for an average of 9.45 assists per set. Corrente had 42 assists in a victory over Concordia University Chicago and picked up 39 against Wheaton, which is receiving votes in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Top 25, and Aurora University. She also had 37 in the victory at Central.
  Corrente also picked up six service aces and eight kills in the six matches. On the defensive side, Corrente collected nine blocks and 44 digs.
  Corrente now has 566 assists on the season and is averaging 10.11 assists per set. This is the first Player of the Week award for Corrente.Â
  Weier (Bonduel, Wis./Bonduel), who was the Offensive Player of the Week last week, was a force at the net. Weier piled up 16 digs in the six matches for an average of 0.73 per set. Weier picked up five blocks in the victory at Central and added four in the win over Concordia Chicago. Weier also added 14 digs during the week.
  A first-year middle blocker, Weier collected 52 kills and hit .289 for the week.Â
  The Vikings have now earned five conference Player of the Week honors this season. Lawrence is now 11-4 on the season and has already matched its 2024 win total. The Vikings are back in action this weekend at the Elmhurst University Invitational.Â
