GALESBURG, Ill. -- The Lawrence University men's tennis team took down Monmouth College 7-2 in a Midwest Conference match at the Lakeside Recreation Center.
  Lawrence grabbed the lead after the doubles competition by winning two of the three matches.
Cam Strawn and
Rahul Sabnis were 8-5 winners at No. 2, and
Jonathan Hogan and
Dylan Delgado posted an 8-0 victory at No. 3.
  The Vikings then closed out the Scots by winning the first three singles matches.
Kenneth Penaherrera-Quiroz got things started with a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Nicholas Robertson at No. 6.
Jackson Gross followed with a 6-4, 6-0 win over Matthew Simonson at No. 5, and
Yui Ito clinched the win with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Andre Myklebust at No. 3 singles.
  The Vikings added two more wins as Strawn beat Brendan Guenther 6-4, 6-2 at No. 2, and Delgado topped Sawyer Day 6-4, 5-7, 10-6 at No. 3.
  Lawrence improved to 4-10 and 2-0 in the conference.
