RIPON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's tennis team suffered its first Midwest Conference loss Wednesday with a 7-2 setback at Ripon College.
  Lawrence's victories came at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles, and the Vikings lost a pair of critical three-set matches.

Andrew Larson was a dual winner for Lawrence as he downed Drew Jorgensen 7-6, 6-7, 10-7 at No. 1 singles. Larson also teamed with
Yui Ito for an 8-6 win over Jorgensen and Marcus Austin at No. 1 doubles.

Cam Strawn lost a three-set match at No. 2 singles after winning the opening set 6-2. He dropped the final two sets, 6-2, 6-1. Ito battled Austin at No. 4 singles and lost the opening set 6-3 before taking the second set 7-5. Austin closed out the win with a 6-4 win in the third set.
  Lawrence dropped to 4-11 overall and 2-1 in the conference.Â
