KOHLER, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's tennis team rolled to an 8-1 nonconference victory over Lakeland University on Saturday at SportsCore.
    It was the first victory at Lawrence for new head coach Ryan Ruzziconi.
    The Vikings jumped on Lakeland by sweeping the three doubles matches to begin the day. Margot Connor and Emma Koppa were 8-1 winners at No. 1 doubles,a nd Lauren Aturaliya and Chloe Lamb posted an 8-2 win at No. 2 for the Vikings. Morgan Fisher teamed with first-year player Anna Vanden Acker for an 8-2 win at No. 3. It was the first doubles victory of Vanden Acker's career.
    Lawrence kept it rolling by sweeping the Nos. 2 through 6 singles matches.
    Aturaliya won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2, and Koppa was a 6-2, 6-0 winner at No. 3. Lamb posted a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 4, and Vanden Acker posted a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 5. Amelia Watson completed the run for Lawrence with a 6-2, 6-1 victory at No. 6.
    The Vikings improved to 1-1 on the season and travel to UW-Oshkosh on Tuesday.
