APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's tennis team grabbed the win at No. 1 singles in an 8-1 nonconference loss to Hamline University on Friday at Fox Cities Racquet Club.

Andrew Larson was the lone winner for the Vikings as he rolled to a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Sam Thompson.
  The Vikings were poised to lead the match after the doubles competition. Lawrence's No. 1 and No. 2 doubles matches both went to a super-tiebreaker, but the Pipers came out on top in both matches.Â
  Lawrence falls to 1-7 on the season while Hamline improves to 4-2.
