APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's tennis team dropped a 5-4 nonconference heartbreaker to Wisconsin Lutheran College on Saturday at Fox Cities Racquet Club.
  After winning just one of the doubles matches, Lawrence took three singles matches but couldn't close out the match at No. 5 singles to secure the overall victory.
  The Vikings got on the board in doubles when Hikara Takemura and
Rahul Sabnis posted an 8-6 victory at No. 2.

Andrew Larson won for the Vikings at the top of the singles lineup with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Aidan Newberg at No. 1. Takemura rallied for a 2-6, 6-3, 10-8 victory over Jon Kannenberg at No. 2.
Dylan Delgado grabbed a win for the Vikings at No. 3 with a 6-3, 4-6, 10-7 victory over Zadic Torline.Â
  Lawrence (1-8) had a shot to close out the match at No. 5, but Matt Bass rallied for a 3-6, 7-5, 7-6 win to secure the victory for the Warriors (3-7).
