APPLETON, Wis. -- Cristyn Oliver ran the fastest 6,000 meters in Lawrence University cross country history on Saturday, and the Vikings won both team titles at the Gene Davis Invitational.
  Oliver ran to the individual title and covered the 6,000-meter course at Reid Golf Course in 21:52.6. Oliver's time broke the school record of 22:01 set by Lawrence Hall of Famer Val Curtis in 2002. Oliver's previous best, which ranked second in school history, was 22:06 in 2022.Â
  The Lawrence women also posted the third-fastest and sixth-fastest times in school history. First-year Mila Westra finished second in 22:23.8, which now ranks third on Lawrence's all-time list. Edythmae Frodl finished fifth in 22:50.7 to move into sixth place on the all-time list.Â
  Amelia Wiesner finished 12th for the Vikings in 23:53.5, and teammate Riley Winebrenner was on her heels in 13th place 23:57.2 to complete the scoring for the Vikings.
  Lawrence, currently ranked seventh in the North Region, finished with 33 points take the team title, and UW-Oshkosh was second with 48 points. This marks the first time Lawrence has won the women's team title at the Gene Davis Invitational since 2021.
  The Lawrence men cruised to the team title with 41 points, and UW-Oshkosh was a distant second with 79 points. This was the first time Lawrence has taken the team title at its home meet, which Lawrence has been running for the past 15 years.

Finn Lee finished second to lead the Vikings as he covered the 8,000 meters in 25:21.9. Isaiah Herried of Wisconsin Lutheran College took the individual title in 25:09.0.Â

Nick Hansen was fourth for the Vikings in 25:51.5, and fellow rookie
Zach Meyer was next for the Vikings as he took seventh in 26:14.7.Â

Caleb Hardy, another first-year runner, finished 10th for the Vikings in 26:25.4, and
Ryan Cassiday completed the scoring for Lawrence by taking 18th in 26:44.0.Â
