DE PERE, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's tennis team picked up a pair of wins Friday against Saint Mary's University, but the Vikings came up short in a 7-2 nonconference loss to the Cardinals at the Green Bay Tennis Center.
  First-year players
Owen Horton and
Cole Witucki picked up their first collegiate victories for the Vikings.Â
  Playing at No. 4 singles, Horton took on Caden Rodning and won the opening set 7-6 after taking a 7-5 victory in the tiebreaker. Horton then closed out the match with a 6-4 win in the second set.
  Witucki got a pair of tiebreakers to take his match at No. 6 singles. Witucki won the opening set 7-6 after winning the tiebreaker 10-8. The second set also went to a tiebreaker with Witucki grabbing a 7-5 win to close out the match.
  Lawrence drops to 0-4 on the season and faces St. Norbert College on Sunday.
