RIPON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's tennis team dominated the singles matches Saturday, and the Vikings rallied for a 6-3 Midwest Conference win over Ripon College at the Willmore Center.
  Lawrence trailed 2-1 after the doubles matches, but the Vikings won five of the six singles matches to down the Red Hawks.
  The Vikings picked up their first singles win of the day when
Owen Horton posted a 2-6, 6-1, 6-2 victory over Ty Rondestvedt at No. 3.Â
  After Ripon won at No. 2 singles, Lawrence grabbed a big win at No. 1 when
Andrew Larson defeated his cousin, Ripon's Caleb Sippel, 2-6, 6-2, 6-4.
Gabriel Garcia then put the team victory within reach when he beat Ripon's Jaden Francis 6-4, 6-7 (4-7), 6-2 at No. 4.
  The Nos. 5 and 6 singles matches went out on the courts later so the team victory was going to be decided by those two matches. It didn't take long for Lawrence to get the clinching point as
Jonah Friedmann rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Ripon's Kyle Pelzek at No. 6. Lawrence's
Ethan Uribe finished off the Red Hawks as he posted a 6-2, 7-5 win over Corey Mooney at No. 6.
  Lawrence picked up its first point of the day when the No. 3 doubles team of Horton and
Rahul Sabnis defeated Rondestvedt and Mooney 8-7. The Vikings took the tiebreaker 7-4 to win that match.
  The Vikings improved to 3-7 overall and 1-0 in the conference.
