APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's tennis team fell 8-1 to Roosevelt University on Saturday in a nonconference match at Fox Cities Racquet Club.

Andrew Larson picked up the lone win for the Vikings with a victory at No. 1 singles against Roosevelt, an NAIA school located in Chicago.
  Larson defeated Yazid Benchegra in their singles match. After Benchegra won the opening set 6-3, Larson stormed back to win the second set 7-5. Benchegra then retired with an injury to hand the match to Larson.

Dylan Delgado nearly took a victory as well. Larson and Delgado battled to a 7-7 stalemate before Roosevelt claimed the victory with a 7-5 win in the tiebreaker.
