APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 nonconference decision to Lakeland University on Thursday at the Lawrence Courts.
    Dodging raindrops and playing without two starters competing for other Lawrence spring sports teams, the Vikings picked up a win at No. 1 singles.
    Lawrence's Chloe Lamb put together a solid 6-3, 6-2 victory over Olivia Heling at No. 1 singles. 
    Lawrence returns to action on Tuesday when the Vikings face Concordia University Wisconsin.
