ST. PETER, Minn. -- Lawrence University men's tennis players
Andrew Larson and
Jonah Friedmann competed in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Midwest Regional at Gustavus Adolphus College.
  Larson opened singles play against Karch Knoll of Grinnell College, and Knoll posted a 6-3, 6-1 victory. Friedmann squared off against Central College's Nick Scott, who topped the Lawrence player 6-1, 6-1.
  Both Lawrence players moved to the consolation draw and both dropped their first matches. Larson lost an extremely tight match to Yash Chhabra of UW-Superior 8-7, falling 8-6 in the tiebreaker. Friedmann fell to Keaton Fish of UW-Eau Claire 8-5 in his opening consolation match.
  In doubles play, Larson and Friedmann dropped an 8-0 decision to Taona Mhwandagara and Dominik Knutson of Gustavus Adolphus.
