APPLETON, Wis. -- Three Lawrence University men's tennis players have been chosen for the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team.

Andrew Larson,
Gabriel Garcia and
Owen Horton were all selected for the team. To be eligible for the team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade point average and meet the minimum playing requirements.
  Larson (Wauwatosa, Wis./Milwaukee Pius XI) is a senior majoring in economics. Larson, who plays No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles for the Vikings, has a 3.99 grade point average. Larson was chosen for the third consecutive season.Â
  A two-time All-Midwest Conference selection, Larson finished his career by reaching the semifinals of the Midwest Conference Championships in singles. He teamed with
Benjamin Hoppe to win the consolation title at No. 1 doubles.
  Garcia (Queretaro, Mexico/Instituto Thomas Jefferson) is a sophomore and plays No. 3 singles for the Vikings. A double major in business and entrepreneurship and film studies, Garcia has a 3.74 grade point average.Â
  Garcia won the consolation title in singles at the Midwest Conference Championships. He teamed with
Will Phillips to reach the championship semifinals at No. 3 doubles.Â
  Horton (DeForest, Wis./DeForest) is a sophomore who plays No. 4 singles and No. 2 doubles for the Vikings. A mathematics major with a 3.98 grade point average, Horton captured the consolation title at No. 4 singles at the Midwest Conference Championships. Horton and
Xander Priest reached the consolation final at No. 2 doubles.
