APPLETON, Wis. ā The accolades continue to roll in for Lawrence University women's basketball as three Vikings earned All-Conference recognition from the Midwest Conference following a historic regular season.
Kate Adams was named to the All-Conference First Team after finishing third in the league in scoring, averaging 14.6 points per game in conference play. Adams logged more than 31 minutes per contest and provided a steady offensive presence throughout the year, shooting 35.4%Ā from three-point range and 80%Ā from the free-throw line. Her ability to create offense and deliver in key moments established her as one of the conference's premier scoring threats this season.Ā
Charlotte Brennan earned Second Team All-Conference honors after leading the Midwest Conference in assists at 4.8 per game. Brennan averaged 10.9 points and 4.0 rebounds per contest while orchestrating the Lawrence offense. Her vision and decision-making resulted in a new Lawrence single-season assist record, further elevating an already impressive campaign.
Senior Sophie Morey also collected Second Team honors, adding another milestone to her decorated career. Morey averaged 11.2 points and 6.3 rebounds per game while shooting .500 from the field, providing efficiency and physicality in the frontcourt. This season,Ā she surpassed 100 career games played, becoming the program's all-time leader in appearances ā an "Iron Woman" distinction that underscores her durability and sustained impact and also surpassed 500 career rebounds to add to her resume.Ā
Together, Adams, Brennan and Morey helped leadĀ Lawrence to the most wins in program history, helping guide the Vikings to one of their strongest seasons to date. Their balanced production ā scoring, playmaking and interior presence as well as their passion and joy to uplift and encourage their teammates has led to a seasonĀ campaign built on consistency and collective success.
With postseason play ahead, the trio will look to carry theĀ momentum of the regular seasonĀ into the Midwest Conference Tournament where they have secured the #2 overall seed and will open up play Friday night at 7:00pm versus Knox CollegeĀ
