APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's basketball program is set to host a series of camps in June and August.
  Lawrence will host a Girls Basketball Camp on June 14, 15 and 16 at Alexander Gymnasium. The camp is for girls in grades four through nine and takes place from 1 to 4 p.m. each day. The camp will focus on teaching and developing fundamental skills and team concepts. Campers will be given opportunities to learn and practice these skills and concepts through a variety of game experiences and camp competitions.The cost of the camp is $50.
  The Shooting Academy is for girls in grades four through 12 and takes place on Aug. 9 at Alexander Gymnasium. The focus of this camp is to teach proper shooting form and practice shooting/scoring through a variety of game-like drills and competitions. Each camper will be provided individual shooting instruction and immediate feedback. In addition, all campers will be given a hard copy of our Lawrence Shooting Academy Workout to be used at home. The camp runs from 1 to 4 p.m., and the cost is $50.
  The Elite Prospect Camp is for girls in grades 10 through 12. It will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (please bring your own lunch) at Alexander Gymnasium. This is a high-intensity camp designed to bring together players who want to learn and challenge themselves with and against other competitive players. Camp will include fundamental skill instruction, competitive practice and a lot of game play. The cost of the camp is $75.
