WALTHAM, Mass. -- The Lawrence University fencing teams were shut out Sunday at the Brandeis Invitational.
  Both the Lawrence women and men finished with 0-7 records on a long day of competition.
  On the women's side, Lawrence's closest matches were a 17-10 setback to Drew and a 17-10 loss to Wellesley.Â
  Saber posted the top individual records of the day for the women. Rookies Mahek Rewani finished with a 9-11 mark, and fellow first-year Jayna Davis was 8-10.Â
  The Lawrence men also had a trio of tight losses as they dropped a 15-12 decision to Brown and lost to both Brandeis and Cornell by identical 16-11 scores.

Jose Pinero had the top mark on the day for the Lawrence men as he went 12-9 in epee.
Jordan Diacos led the saber contingent with a 7-5 record, and Eli Freye de Andrade finished 5-4.
Aaron Reese finished 6-6 in saber, and
Tim Parker was 4-5.
