WALTHAM, Mass. -- The Lawrence University fencing teams faced some tough competition Sunday at the Brandeis Invitational and picked up some notable achievements.
  The Lawrence men knocked off the host school 14-13 in its dual match with Brandeis University and took down Drew University 18-9. The Vikings also posted a win in saber against Penn State University. On the women's side, the Vikings defeated Yale University in saber with Nora Anderson going unbeaten in epee against the Bulldogs.

Vinicius Alonso de Paula had the top record on the day for the Lawrence men with a 10-4 mark in foil.
Jack Kropp and
Archer Prochazka were tops in epee as Kropp went 9-6 and Prochazka was 7-5.
Eli Freyre de Andrade had a 6-3 mark in saber, and
Jordan Diacos went 4-4.
  Anderson had a team-best 10 bout victories for the women and finished 10-11 overall in epee. Davis and Miami Kirkwood both picked up five bout wins in saber, and Iris Pierce had a team-high four bout wins in foil.
