SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Lawrence University fencing teams both finished with winning records Saturday during the DeCicco Duals at the Castellan Family Fencing Center.
  The Lawrence men went 6-1 on the day, and the women were 5-3.
  On the men's side, Lawrence posted wins over the Detroit Mercy, Northwestern, Cleveland State, Georgia Tech, Wayne State and Florida. Lawrence only setback came to host Notre Dame.
  First-year
Jack Kropp collected the most wins on the day for the Vikings with an 11-3 record in epee.
Thomas Craley posted a 9-1 record in foil, and
Vinicius Alonso de Paula went 8-4. In men's saber,
Donovin Brown went 7-2 and
Jordan Diacos was 7-3.Â
  The Lawrence women collected victories over Detroit Mercy, Cleveland State, Georgia Tech, Wayne State and Florida. The Vikings lost to Notre Dame, Northwestern and Denison.
  Jayna Davis led Lawrence as she put together an 11-3 record in women's saber. Iris Pierce picked up a team-best 10 wins in women's foil, and Nora Anderson was tops in women's epee with nine victories.Â
