Hills earns consecutive all-conference honors

Clara Hills receives all conference honors
Appleton, Wis-- Lawrence Ā Women's Tennis program is proud to announce the recognition of one of its own standout athletes from the 2025 Midwest Conference season. Clara Hills has been selected to the prestigious Midwest All-Conference team, marking her second consecutive year receiving this honor.

This year, Clara Hills demonstrated her exceptional skills and dedication on the court, achieving a record of 9-7 at #1 singles and 8-7 at #2 doubles during the season. Her performance also earned her consolation titles in both singles and doubles at this year Midwest Conference tournament.Ā

Coach Eric Schacht expressed nothing but excitement during this moment for Clara, "When I returned to LU tennis as head coach, bringing back the philosophy and mantra of Viking Tennis Legend, and my coach, Mary Poulson - "Love the Battle" - was one of my primary objectives. There is no player who Loves the Battle more than Clara Hills. She thrives on big moments, highly ranked opponents, and the biggest challenges I can put in front of her. This mindset is contagious and inspirational, and I can't wait to see where her leadership takes our program over the next two years."Ā

The sophomore standout now holds an all-time college record of 22-12 at No. 1 singles, and is one the latest tennis player to receive back to back all conference selections. Congratulations to Clara Hills on her well-earned recognition and for her continued excellent representation of the Lawrence on the court.Ā
