APPLETON, Wis. -- Lawrence University pitcher
Georgia Sedlack has been chosen as the Midwest Conference Pitcher of the Week.
  Sedlack (Woodstock, Ill./North) earned the honor after picking up her first collegiate victory this past weekend. The first-year pitcher posted a 1-0 record with a 3.50 earned run average over two appearances.
  Sedlack went the distance to earn the win in Lawrence's 11-3 win at Eureka College on Sunday. Sedlack allowed five hits while striking out eight and walking two.Â
  In the second game of the doubleheader with Eureka, Sedlack came on in relief in the bottom of the seventh. She worked a scoreless frame, striking out two, as the Vikings posted a 9-4 victory.
  On the season, Sedlack is now 1-1 with a 4.90 ERA. She has posted 13 strikeouts in 10 innings against just three walks.
  Sedlack is the first Lawrence hurler to be named MWC Pitcher of the Week since Emilia Jackson was honored on April 1, 2019.
  Lawrence doesn't return to action until March 21 when the Vikings open play in Florida during its annual spring break trip.
