APPLETON, Wis. -- Three Lawrence University women's tennis players have been selected for the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team.

Anna Vanden Acker,
Logan Kane and
Tess McGlenn were all selected for the award. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore, have a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade point average and meet the playing requirements.
  Vanden Acker (Neenah, Wis./St. Mary Catholic) is a junior and was chosen for the second consecutive year. A double major in business and entrepreneurship and English literature, Vanden Acker has a 3.83 grade point average. She plays No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles for the Vikings.
  An All-Midwest Conference selection, Vanden Acker won the consolation title at No. 1 singles during this past season.Â
  Kane (Chicago, Ill./Lane Tech) is a sophomore and plays No. 3 singles and No. 1 doubles. A double major in biochemistry and vocal performance, Kane has a 3.86 grade point average.Â
  Kane won the consolation title at No. 3 singles at the past season's Midwest Conference Championships.
  McGlenn (Madison, Wis./East) is a sophomore and played No. 4 singles and No. 2 doubles for the Vikings. A government major, McGlenn has a 3.55 grade point average.
  McGlenn won the consolation title at the past season's Midwest Conference Championships. She teamed with
Clara Hills to take the consolation title at No. 2 doubles.
