Schoenecker Named All-Conference Second Team

APPLETON, Wis. – The season may be over for the Vikings, but the recognition continues for Lawrence University men's basketball.

On Thursday, forward Casey Schoenecker was honored by the Midwest Conference with a selection to the league's All-Conference Second Team.

Schoenecker was a model of consistency and efficiency throughout the season. He started all 25 games and averaged 13.1 points and 7.3 rebounds per game while playing 29.2 minutes per contest. His .530 field goal percentage ranked among the conference's most efficient marks, underscoring his ability to finish at a high rate and take quality shots.

His production extended beyond scoring. Schoenecker averaged 5.7 defensive rebounds per game, establishing himself as one of the Vikings' most dependable presences on the glass. He added 2.5 assists per contest, showcasing his ability to facilitate offense from the forward position, and contributed 1.4 blocks per game, providing a steady defensive anchor in the paint.

Schoenecker's all-around efficiency — from shot selection to rebounding positioning and defensive timing — positioned him among the league's top frontcourt performers this season.

With the honor, Schoenecker becomes the first Lawrence player to earn all-conference recognition since Brad Sendell in 2021-22 seaason, marking a significant milestone for the Vikings program.
