The 21st Century Lawrence University hockey team features some of the biggest names from the history of the program, including All-American Lane King and record-setting goaltender Evan Johnson.
   The team is made up of two sets of forwards and defensemen and a pair of goaltenders. The squad is dominated by players from Michigan as six of the 12 selections hail from Wisconsin's neighbor to the north and east, and the Badger State ranks second with three selections.
   The team was selected by Lawrence Director of Athletic Media Relations
Joe Vanden Acker, who has worked at the school since 1999, and others close to the program.
FIRST LINE
FORWARDS
Lane King, Class of 2018
   Lane King became Lawrence's first All-American when he earned the honor for his efforts during the 2017-18 season. The native of Waunakee, Wisconsin, also was a first-team All-Northern Collegiate Hockey Association selection in 2018.Â
   King finished with 24 goals, including 12 power-play tallies, and 48 assists for 72 points in three seasons at Lawrence after transferring in as a sophomore. He finished his career with a stellar senior season in 2017-18 as he piled up 16 goals and 21 assists for 37 points. He led the NCHA in scoring at 1.37 points per game, and that was 22nd in all of NCAA Division III. King's 37 points ranks second on Lawrence's season list and the 21 assists is good for third.
   King was picked as NCHA Offensive Player of the Week during the 2017-18 season and collected at least one point in 21 of 27 games that season.
Marc Howe, Class of 2010
   Marc Howe was a consistent offensive force during his four seasons at Lawrence and continues to be the school's career scoring leader. The Cedarburg, Wisconsin, native finished 116 points on 65 goals and 51 assists. Howe was a three-time All-Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association selection as he earned first-team honors in 2010, second-team honors in 2008 and All-Freshmen accolades in 2007.
   Howe tops Lawrence's career list in goals and points and ranks sixth in assists. Howe was a consistent scorer throughout his career as he averaged 29.3 points per season during his career. He posted a high of 33 points as a sophomore in 2007-08 on 17 goals and a career-best 16 assists. Howe scored a school-record 19 goals on his way to 32 points as a senior in 2009-10. Howe collected a school-record 11 game-winning goals during his career.
    Howe also finished with a school-record seven short-handed goals and set the school record with two shorties in a game vs. Northland College in 2008. Howe, who earned multiple conference Player of the Week awards, also scored 15 power-play goals during his career, and that ranks fifth on the career list.
Nick Jennette, Class of 2009
   Nick Jennette was an All-Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association selection and one of the top scorers in Lawrence history. A native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Jennette is one of just three players in Lawrence history to top 100 career points and graduated as the school's scoring leader.
   Jennette piled up 103 points on 48 goals and 55 assists over his career. A first-team all-conference pick as a senior in 2009, Jennette had his top scoring season as a junior in 2007-08 when he set the school record with 18 goals to go with 13 assists for a career-best 31 points. Jennette was incredibly consistent when it came to handing out assists, picking up 13 as a freshman, a career-best 15 as a sophomore, 13 as a junior and 14 as a senior.
   Jennette, who won multiple conference Player of the Week awards, scored a career-record 19 power-play goals and picked up eight career game-winning tallies.
DEFENSEMEN
Josh Peterson, Class of 2008
   Josh Peterson stands alone in Lawrence hockey history as the program's only four-time all-conference selection. A native of Duluth, Minnesota, Peterson was an All-Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association first-team selection in all four seasons.
   Peterson also is the top-scoring defenseman in Lawrence history as he finished his career with 77 points on 21 goals and 56 assists. Peterson was fourth in career points when he graduated and still ranks 10th. His 56 assists continues to rank second in school history.
   Peterson had his top scoring season as a senior in 2007-08 when he posted career highs of 20 assists and 26 points to go with six goals. He scored a career-best eight goals as a rookie in 2004-05.
Jameson Raymond, Class of 2012
   Jameson Raymond was known as a coach on the ice during his four seasons and was honored twice by the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association. A native of Flint, Michigan, Raymond was a first-team All-MCHA pick in 2012 and made the All-Freshmen team in 2009.
   Raymond, a key to Evan Johnson's record-setting 2008-09 season in goal, was one of the league's top scoring defensemen and finished his career with 73 points on 18 goals and 55 assists. His 55 assists ranks fourth in school history. Raymond and his defensive mates allowed a record-low 2.43 goals per game during the 2008-09 season. Led by that defense, the Vikings won the MCHA's Northern Division.
   Raymond had his best offensive season as a sophomore with career highs of 17 assists and 22 points. He scored a career-high six goals as a junior.
GOALTENDER
Evan Johnson, Class of 2011
   Evan Johnson was superb throughout his career, but his 2008-09 season as Lawrence's netminder was one for the record books. A native of Suwanee, Georgia, Johnson was a first-team All-Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association selection in 2009 as he led the nation in shutouts.
   Johnson set school season records with seven shutouts, 13 wins, a 2.11 goals against average and .918 save percentage as he compiled a 13-9-1 record. Johnson was even better in MCHA play as he went 11-4-1 with six shutouts, a 1.50 GAA and a .938 save percentage. For his career, Johnson finished with a 3.17 GAA and .895 save percentage. He set school records with 41 wins, nine shutouts and the 3.17 GAA.

FORWARDS
Ryan Blick, Class of 2005
  Ryan Blick became the most prolific scorer in program history early in the 21st century, picking up the mantle from Lawrence Hall of Famer Toby Kinsler, the Vikings' top scorer in the 1990s. A native of Canton, Michigan, Blick is one of just three players in program history to collect more than 100 points.
  A first-team All-Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association selection in 2003 and 2005, Blick piled up 38 goals and a school-record 65 assists for 103 points. Blick had his top season as a sophomore in 2002-03 when he posted school records with 40 points and 24 assists to go with a career-high 16 goals. Blick also ranks second on the season list with 23 assists in 2004-05, and his 32 points that season is good for seventh.Â
  Paired with Andy Rozanski on the power play, Blick collected 13 power-play goals for his career. Blick did all of this in basically three seasons as he missed nearly his entire junior year due to injury.
Joe Searl, Class of 2007
  Joe Searl was a tough and relentless player during his four seasons with the Vikings and earned All-Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association honors. A native of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, Searl was a first-team all-conference pick in 2007.
  Searl scored 43 goals and picked up 56 assists for 99 points in his career. He ranks fourth in career points, second in assists and sixth in goals. Searl hit his stride as a sophomore with 26 points and added 25 more as a junior. He capped his career with a brilliant senior season with career highs of 18 goals, 17 assists and 35 points. The 18 goals set a school record, and the 35 points still ranks fourth in school history.
  Searl was tough on the power play and his 10 power-play goals in 2006-07 continues to be the school record. He ranks fourth with 16 career power-play goals. His four game-winning goals in 2006-07 still stands as the school record, and he ranks second with nine career game-winners.
Josh Koepplinger, Class of 2019
  Josh Koepplinger is one of the most prolific scorers in Lawrence history and earned All-Northern Collegiate Hockey Association honors. A native of Saginaw, Michigan, Koepplinger was a first-team all-conference selection in 2019.
  Koepplinger ranks in the top six in Lawrence history in both goals and points. He finished fourth on the career list with 47 goals and added 44 assists to finish sixth with 91 career points. Koepplinger had his biggest season as a junior in 2017-18 when he scored a career-best 17 goals and added 13 assists for a career-high 30 points. Koepplinger then picked up a career-high 14 assists as a senior in 2018-19.
  Koepplinger was a force on the man-advantage, and his 13 career power-play goals ranks sixth in school history. Â
DEFENSEMEN
Brandon Boelter, Class of 2016
  Brandon Boelter was the physical and vocal leader of the Lawrence defense throughout his career. The Saginaw, Michigan, native was a first-team All-Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association selection as a rookie in 2013 and made the league's All-Freshmen team.
  The 6-foot-2, 225-pound Boelter finished his career with 13 goals and 49 assists for 62 points. Boelter ranks eighth in career assists and is 17th in career points. Of Boelter's 13 career goals, nine came on the power play. Boelter posted all of his career highs as a senior with six goals, 15 assists and 21 points.
William Thoren, Class of 2014
  William Thoren was tremendous on the blue line during his career with the Vikings and a major contributor on offense. A native of Gothenburg, Sweden, Thoren was a first-team All-Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association selection in 2011 and was chosen for the league's All-Freshmen team.
  Thoren finished his career with 15 goals, 47 assists and 62 points. He ranks 17th in career points (tied with Brandon Boelter) and is 11th in assists. Thoren picked up eight power-play goals and was responsible for three game-winning scores. Thoren posted a career-high 20 points as a rookie in 2010-11 and had a career-best 16 assists in both 2010-11 and 2011-12. He scored a career-high four goals in three of his four seasons.Â
GOALTENDER
Evan Cline, Class of 2020
  Â
Evan Cline was a steady and spectacular performer in the pipes over his four seasons at Lawrence. A native of Freeland, Michigan, Cline was named to the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association All-Freshmen team in 2017.Â
  Cline burst on the scene as a rookie in 2016-17 when he tied the school record with a .924 save percentage, and his 2.63 goals against average that season ranks third in school history. Cline went through his career and never posted a season save percentage lower than .909 or a GAA higher than 3.73. He finished his career with 18 wins, a school-record .913 save percentage and a 3.18 GAA, which ranks third in school history.
  Cline, who had three career shutouts, made a career-high 66 saves (third-highest in Lawrence history) as the Vikings knocked off No. 14 St. Norbert 3-1 late in the 2019-20 season.Â
